Mini Haul + REVIEW Innisfree, Etude House, Aritaum, Holika Holika & Secret Key

Hello guys! How are you all?  \*^0^*/

I just started my new job and have been quite busy. As promised I will do a haul & review post regarding my latest haul from TesterKorea.com.
I decided to pop in a review as well since I have had the time to test some of the products that I purchased.

Let's start off with the Holika Holika Dessert Time Lip balm in shade #02 pink cupcake. When applied, it shows up as a light pink, almost transparant, color. The balm is very creamy and not sticky. I love to use this when I am outside in the cold and feel going for a more neutral look. It lasts for a good couple of hours. It has a sweet smell and taste to it, like candy! (so be careful not to accidentally eat it!)

Another aspect that I like is that you can easily pop it into your bag, and it would not open by accident in your bag as the lit closes firmly. Also, you get a lot of product for only about 4 dollars.

This balm is absolutely my new obsession!
Next up are eyeshadows. I got one from the Etude House' range Look At My Eyes Jewel in shade #BE105, one from the range Bling Me Prism Look At My Eyes Jewel in shade #BL605, and finally one from the Aritaum Shine Fix Eyes range in shade #03 Coconut Bay.

I really like all of these eyeshadows. All three are very easy to apply, have a nice texture and are very blendable. The most pigmented are the purple one from Etude House and the one from Aritaum. Whereas the Etude House eyeshadows are pressed powder shadows, the Aritaum eyeshadow is a more loose powder, but has awesome shimmer and shows up beautifully.

(Tip: use a primer on your eyelids to make the shadow appear more pigmented, and make it last longer without smudging)

They retail for: Etude House Look At My Eyes Jewel 3,50 US dollars, Etude House Bling Me Prism Look At My Eyes Jewel 3,50 US dollars, and Aritaum Shine Fix Eyes 6 US dollars.

The next item I bought is the Innisfree Mineral Glow Fixer Mist. What it does: it adds moist to the skin with a shiny coating effect. It enhances the persistency of makeup and makes overall complexion look flawless. What I like about this product is that it feels fresh and cool on the skin. It lasts for a long time and I like the flowery smell. Another pro is that it does not contain paraben, minerals, animal ingredient, or talc. Make sure that you spray it around your face after applying makeup and let it dry / absorb into the skin. The packaging is gorgeous *,*

The average price is 10 US dollars (120 ml).

My second new obsession is the Holika Holika Vita Up! Facial Water #Vita Green.
First of all, this smells amazing! It reminds me of a sweet soap mixed with fresh ingredients. This facial mist has proven to do a lot of good to my skin. It hydrates the skin and delivers 12 kinds of vitamins and mineral rich plant extracts, and Japanese Hita-Tenryosui which is one of the world's top 4 mineral waters. The Vita Green promises to energise tired skin, and soothes flushed skin. My overall complexion after using this product for a couple of weeks has improved so much. My skin feels healthier, more flexible, and I have less breakouts. After spraying this onto my face it feels moisturised, energetic and smells so good. Love this one by Holika Holika and will definitely repurchase this!

How to use: spray around face in the early steps of skin care routine. I personally use this in my morning and night time routine.

It retails for about 4 US dollars (100 ml). What a steal!

The next product I bought is the Secret Key Starting First Essence. The reason that I wanted to try this is because it I hear good things about it, as it contains essential ingredients to nourish the skin.

Unfortunately I do not really like this product, which is why I am glad I got this sample sized bottle before purchasing the full sized one. The reason that I do not really like this product is that it has a very strong alcoholic smell.  I have not been using it as much as I would want to, because the smell prevents me from trying it out. I have used it on my skin a couple of times and I must admit that it does not do anything bad nor anything good for my skin. Another low point is that the formula is very watery. This is not so bad but you should be careful when pouring this onto your hand before applying it to your face.

However I find it a waste to not use it and therefore I will give this product another shot and I will let you guys know if I changed my mind about it :) Perhaps my sensitive skin has to get used to it first before showing any differences?

The price is about 3 US dollars for this sample size (30 ml).

The last item I picked up is the Innisfree Cream Mellow Lip stick in shade #02 Vanilla Pink. First impression: I love this color! It really suits my skin tone (caucasian / light) as it gives a warm tint to my skin which has a cool undertone (pink).

The texture is very creamy which I like and is very pigmented after only one swatch (see picture below). It has a smoothly application and lasts for about two to three hours. It does not have any particular smell or taste. I also really like the packaging. The broken white is recycled paper printed with soy ink, and feels silky and soft? I did not know that this was possible! :)

Another pro is that the formula contains Camelia oil which provides a smooth coating. One last pro is the diamond shaped stick which is not only gorgeous it also provides great fitting for any lip shape.

I will probably get a few more of these in different colors.

It retails for about 8 US dollars.

REVIEW Etude House "I Need You, Lemon" & "I Need You, Xylitol Forest" Sheet Masks

Good day beauties!
How are you all doing? I am so excited for I will be doing another haul for you very soon. For now, lets move on to the review!

For quite some time many Korean beauty junkies have been adding sheet masks to their routine. Some even use one every day! As I have been busy I felt like giving my skin a break by starting to use sheet masks, as they promise to give a nice cooling and relaxing sensation, and improve the skin in general. There are various sheet masks, each with different ingredients that suit a certain skin type.

Since I have heard good things about Etude House and Innisfree sheet masks I decided to try some. I got these for a good discount when I was in Korea. They are originally from the Etude House A to Z mask range. All the sheet masks are: Aloe (A), Bulgarian Rose (B), Collagen (C), Dandelion (D), Elder Flower (E), Fig (F), Green Tea (G), Hyaluronic Acid (H), Immortelle (I), Job’s Tears (J), Korean Ginseng (K), Lemon (L), Mango (M), Noni (N), Olive (O), Pomegranate (P), Q10 (Q), Royal Jelly (R), Shea Butter (S), Tea Tree (T), Unpolished Rice (U), Vitamin Complex (V), White Pearl (W), Xylitol Forest (X), Yogurt Strawberry (Y), Zucchini (Z), Heart (<3), Snail (@).

Unfortunately I was not able to get the Innisfree ones, but hopefully I will be able to sometime.

The first mask is the I Need You, Lemon! Mask Sheet. The main purpose of this mask is [Tone Clarifying]. It contains Vitamin C packed lemon extract which claims to purify dull and exhausted skin to become cleat and transparant.

Since I have acne prone skin (hormonal) and blackheads, for a long time I wanted to add Vitamin C to my skin care routine as Vitamin C promises to help healing the skin faster, stimulate cell renewal, and brighten the skin. After using a couple of these I have noticed that my acne scarring significantly reduced! This mask has a slight lemon scent to it which makes my skin feel refreshed.
The only con is that afterwards the shape of the sheet does not exactly match the shape of my face, especialy around the nose and mouth. After removing the mask there is a lot of essence left which can be massages into the skin. Result: Skin feels cool, soft and brightened!

The second mask is the I Need You, Xylitol Forest! Mask Sheet. It contains Xylitol extracted from a birch tree called the Queen of the Forest. Its purpose is to [Clean Moisture] and it promises to clean, cool and moisturise the skin.
After applying this mask my skin feels very cool and soft. I like applying this mask to have a 'clean' and 'refreshed' feeling. There is no particular scent to it.
The same con goes for this mask, which is the shape of the sheet.

Application
Both masks should be applied after toner onto clean skin. You can relax and leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes. After removing the mask the remaining solution should be massaged into the skin.

Overall experience
I find that both solutions are very moist and cool. I love the packaging because I like the design and I hink that they are cute and colourful, and suit very well with other Etude House products.
A con is that both masks are drenched in essence so my advise would be to lay down when wearing the mask.
The sheets do not fall off easily when wearing them, so you can also walk around instead of lying down.

Another benefit to these masks is that they somehow remain cool even though I am not putting them in the fridge! Also, they are very travel friendly as they are lightweight and thin, you can pop a few of these in your bag, wear them on your face and throw away the packaging.

To sum it up, I am positively surprised by both masks and I like putting one on every other day.  I would repurchase them, although there are so many others that I want to give a try :)

Price
Each mask contains 20 ml of essence and is valued at approximately 3 US dollars.

REVIEW * ~ Etude House Lip products! ~ *

Hello beauties!

I will be sharing my experience about some of my lipsticks and lip tints from Etude House. When I was in Korea I picked up 3 Dear My Blooming Lips Talk lipsticks, 1 Color In Liquid Lips, 1 Color Lips Fit, and a Woo~ Baby Lip Plumper lip gloss.

I have Dear My Blooming Lips Talk lipsticks in pink, beige and red shades: PK005 "Thrill Pink", BE105 "Heartless Beige", and RD308 "Fall In Love Red". I was surprised by the lipsticks' pigmentation as it is really good, lightweight, and have a soft and creamy texture. They last for a couple of hours and you can touch up when it starts to fade. I find that they are not very moisturising, however, when a balm or vaseline is used before applying the lipstick it makes a huge difference.

I love the cute and elegant packaging, and noticed that their is a beautiful heart shaped pattern engraved in the stick.

They retail for 11,10 US dollars on the Etude House Global website, but I am sure the prices vary among different websites and stores.

I picked up the Color Lips Fit in shade PK003 together with the Woo~ Baby Lip Plumper in shade 02
Unfortunately I am a little disappointed in the Color Lips Fit, as it turned out the be quite drying. When I picked it up I was not aware that it is a matte lip tint, so I was surprised when I found out. I do like the packaging and its spongy doe-foot applicator which is slightly tilted to one side making it easier to apply. The store clerk advised me to use it together with a lip gloss, which is why I decided to pick up the Woo~ Baby Lip Plumper which is a sparkling, light pink lip gloss.

It has a pink container and a silicon applicator which glides on the lips. I found the formula of this product also very surprising! It is a high volume lip gloss which leaves a tingly and cooling sensation for the lips. It has a hint of menthol and is very refreshing, I have never experienced a lip gloss like this before, but I am positively surprised! In combination with the matte lip tint it gives a nice shiny and juicy finish and lasts for a good 3 hours before it needs another touch up. Both products are non sticky!

The Color Lips Fit retails for 11,70 US dollars, whereas the Whoo~ Baby Lip Plumper retails for 7,80 US dollars.

The last lip product is the Color In Liquid Lips in shade PK008. When I heard about this is new product I ordered it through TesterKorea.com. The pigmentation of the lip tint is amazing! It is so intense and leaves a shiny finish. It is also very moisturising and has a very smooth texture. It comes in a cute plastic container and the cushion waterdrop tip helps distribute the product evenly. The formula is non sticky and lasts for several hours. Another pro is that it contains sweet almond oil and sunflower seed oil to coat lips smoothly and moisturised.
The "one touch color" technology is applied and I noticed that it indeed does not need any more touch ups making the product last longer. The way this product is applied is as follows: Use the waterdrop tip to apply the product in the center of your lips and along the natural lip line. Then spread the product evenly using your fingers. I definitely recommend this product for those who want to try an intense color, shiny, non sticky lip tint that lasts for a long time!

It retails for 12,40 US dollars.

Cleansing and Skincare * ~ Etude House Wonder Pore line ~ * *POPULAR*

Hello again!
Today I will be reviewing [Etude House] Wonder pore cleansing and skin care. I picked up the Wonder Pore Whipping Foaming cleanser, the Wonder Pore Freshner and the Wonder Pore Brush. I have wanted to review these products for a long time since I love them so much. I picked these up in March 2014 and have been using them ever since. Especially the Wonder Pore Freshner is loved by many Korean beauty bloggers.

' I am the Wonder Woman for your Pores '
Etude House

First of all let me give you some background information on my skin: I have a sensitive, combination type skin. I occasionally suffer from breakouts, blackheads and blemishes. The breakouts stem from hormonal changes, but as of today the blackheads will not go away. Since my skin is irritated quite easily I started looking for a cleanser that is 'soft' on my skin.

The [Etude House] Wonder Pore Whipping Foam comes in a blue 200ml container. It is formulated with an oxygen-delivering 'carbonated' ingredient. It also contains pore-caring natural ingredients and claims to treat impurities inside pores and helps preventing pores from getting clogged. The formula promises to be the total pore solution and does 7 wonders to your skin:
  • Deep cleanse pores
  • Balance your skin' s ideal pH level
  • Control a large amount of sebum
  • Minimize appearance of pores
  • Refine skin tones
  • Keep the elasticity of pores
  • Moisturize inside and outside of skin
How to use:
The texture is a soft foam and you only need a small amount. You can use this product in two ways: as a face wash and a face mask. As a face wash, dispense some product onto your palm or the Wonder Pore Brush. Apply onto wet face and gently massage in circular motions. Afterwards, rinse off with lukewarm water.  As a face mask, dispense some product onto your palms and apply onto wet face and leave on for about 1 or 2 minutes. Then use your fingers or the Wonder Pore Brush and  massage the skin in circular motions. Afterwards rinse off with lukewarm water. Whereas the face wash can be used daily It is recommended to use the face mask only once or twice every week.

Right after using this product my skin felt soft and fresh. It smells somewhat like flowers

It retails for approximately 14,40 US dollars (200ml).

The [Etude House] Wonder Pore Freshner is a toner that is supposed to be used after cleansing your face. It is a clear and watery substance that comes in a blue, plastic bottle of 250ml or 500ml.
Like the Whipping Foam, this product promises to perform 7 miracles for your skin, including: keeping pores clean, soft and moisturised, balance the skin's pH level (pH 4,5 care), control sebum and also tightens pores while enhancing elasticity.

After using this my face always feels clean and soft. After using this for over a year and a half I honestly do not notice any difference in size of my pores. However I do notice that my pores are more clean and that less blackheads appear.

A pro is that the formula is without any mineral oil, fragrance, colouring, talc, animal ingredients, and silicone oil, making it suitable for those with sensitive skin! Although no fragrance is added the product smells fresh like peppermint and flowers, similar to the Whipping Foam.

How to use:
Dispense some product onto a cotton pad or wipe and gently apply to face in circular motions (this increases the blood circulation which gives you a nicer and healthier looking skin).
I really like the pump which you need to press to dispense some product. It gives you just the right amount of product which you need.

I find this the perfect cleanser to use in my morning and nighttime skincare routine. However, I may be switching to a different brand as I have been using this for such a long time, and I would like to try out some new products.

This product retails for about 11,70 US dollars (250ml), and 18,00 US dollars (500ml).

REVIEW * ~ SkinFood Tomato Cool Jelly Tint ~ *

I hear many positive things on the SkinFood Tomato Cool Jelly Tint so I decided to try this.

First of all, it comes in three shades: #01 Cherry Tomato, #02 Berry Tomato, and #03 Orange Tomato.
I have this in the shade #02 Berry Tomato

It is a liquid formula but at the same time it is consistent (Jelly!). At first it feels a little cold and tingly on my lips, but this feeling fades after a few minutes.

I like the applicator which is a spongy doe-foot that is attached to the cap. When applying, I felt that it glides onto my lips and I could still divide the product to other parts of my lips very easily. While it is very light and slippery, it does not smudge at all. I like!

Skinfood changed the packaging of this product over time but I still like it. Please mind that the the bottom of the hard-plastic container is not round and flat, so if you want to place it standing on your dresser or anything you have to place it upside down on the cap.

I find the texture a little sheer but I suppose that is a Lip Tint (I have not yet tried many Korean lip tints). However, I see great results if I apply this in combination with the Innisfree Lip Concealer. Another pro is that it lasts for a really long time.

Moving on to the scent of the product, unlike the name suggests it does not smell like tomatoes! It has an appetising, sweet smell which is difficult to associate with anything (if that makes any sense).

This product consists of a.o. tomato extract and rosewater which moisturises the lips. It claims to give you a natural, soft color toned look. I find that it does very well in all areas.

It is a very nice lip tint which gives you bright and gradient lips if used with a lip concealer.
If used on its own, it is very natural.

A con is that it is a little difficult to control the jelly consistency when first applying the product.

If you want to try a Korean lip product, I recommend trying this one!

When you buy this product online, the prices vary a lot. I saw one that retails for 22 US dollars and I saw one for 8 US dollars.
I bought mine at TesterKorea.com for only 2,39 US dollars!

* ~ Korean Beauty Haul - Innisfree, Etude House, Nature Republic, It's Skin, TonyMoly, SkinFood, Mamonde

Hello beauties! Yesterday I received my package from TesterKorea.com.  I am very excited to share these products with you.

Note: This is a haul, not product review. I will be reviewing some of these products after I have had the chance to try them for a number of days or weeks in order to share the best experience.

First of all this was my first experience ordering from TesterKorea.com. They have a huge product range so there was a lot to choose from (of course I wanted to purchase as much as possible!)
The shipping time is very reasonable: I placed my order on the 6th of July and received it on 25th of July (although it was already in the Netherlands on 21h of July. It got delayed at the Dutch postoffice for some reason, not TesterKorea.com's fault at all).
The shipping costs are calculated according to the type of mailing that you can select.
The company even added a 'thank you' kit! It includes two samples of Mamonde First Energy Serum. How nice!

The first product is the Etude House Precious Mineral Any Cushion in the shade #Light Pearl Aura

I really wanted to try Etude House' any cushion, and since I noticed a lot of positive reviews I decided to try it. I also decided to buy a refill in case I run out of product and have to wait for at least a week to get another refill. I will post a review on this after I have tried it for some time!

Next are three beauty tools; one from Innisfree and two from Etude House.
I have been looking for a beauty tool spatula for quite some time as I use day and night creams that come in jars. I find it more hygienic to use a spatula over my fingers since it could still contain lingering bacteria. This one from Innisfree is called the Eco Beauty Tool Soft Pack Spatula.
It feels soft and flexible and reaches deep into the jars. It is 10 cm or 3,9 inches long.

I find this useful to use for the Innisfree clay masks such as the Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask. Since the spatula is soft and flexible it helps even out the product onto my face. No fingers needed! The product washes off the spatula very easily.  I recommend purchasing this spatula as it made me enjoy my creams and masks more, since it eliminated a lot of messiness involved. Anyways that was my experience after using this for only one day! (yes I use a lot of masks). I did not intend to do a product review on this one product but I thought I might just as well leave my thoughts on it.

Next is the Etude House Beauty Tool Brow Comb Scissors. I have been wanting to get these for a long time but they have been out of stock on the global Etude House website so I was very happy to find this on TesterKorea.com. The comb on the scissors are removable and it comes with an additional comb in case you lose the other one. It claims to trim, groom and organise the eyebrows neatly. Cannot wait to try this!

The second Etude House My Beauty Tool I bought is the Eyebrow Razor. The reason why I purchased this is because I already own the exact same one in purple and I love it. I was afraid of losing the one I already have so that is why I purchased another one. It is in the shape of a Flamingo (cute!) and comes in multiple variations, for example there is one with heart shaped eyes as well. It is light and thin so you can bring this with you if you go somewhere and did not have the time to touch up on your eyebrows. You can use this by folding the beak and inside is a small razor that you use to trim your eyebrow to shape them, and to remove any stray hairs. I find this very easy to use.

The next two products I purchased are both from SkinFood.

I hear many positive things on the Tomato Cool Jelly Tint so I decided to try this. This is in the shade #02 Berry Tomato. I will do a full review on this product after I tried it for some time.

The second product is the SkinFood Nail Vita Essence. I have not yet tried this since I am wearing nail polish at the moment. It claims to nurture your nails as it contains Vitamin and Keratin. It comes in a glass bottle.

The next product is the Innisfree Lip Concealer. I wanted to try this product since I want to start using this as a base for my lip sticks and lip balms as I find that the colour tends to fade quicker without a base. Although my first reaction to this concealer is that the colour looks quite dark for my skin tone it actually is not. The texture is like a balm and is not sticky. Instead it feels silky on my lips. However, I already notice that after one or two touch ups the formula gets a little dry. But I will start using this for a while and let you know my final thoughts after some time.

Next, I purchased the Nature Republic Botanical Vanilla Make-Up Base in #Green. The reason I wanted to try this is because I have a some redness which I want to cover up. I will do a review and comparison with this product and other make up bases that I already own and see which suits me better.

I also purchased the It's Skin Self Care Foot Cream, since I have a foot scrub at home and I wanted to expand my foot care routine. I feel that during the summer my feet tend to become a little dry so I feel that I should pay some extra attention to them.
This one looks promising as it contains 5 ingredients that are very nurturing: Mineral, Aloe Vera, Rice Bran, Eucalyptus, and Olive oil.
It smells very refreshing with a hint of Eucalyptus. It is not sticky, very moisturising and absorbs quickly into the skin.  I recommend this product if you want to take good care of your feet!

Lastly, I purchased a number of eye make up products. There is one by TonyMoly called New Crystal Lovely Eyes which is in a pencil form. It contains two sides; one side is a creamy eyeliner in brown with some gold glitter, and the other side is an eyeshadow also in brown with gold glitter. Love the look of this product.

The remaining eye products are by Etude House. I purchased the Play 101 pencil in #8 which is a matte cream colour. It can be used as a concealer, eyeshadow, and eyebrow.

The final three products which I purchased are three beautiful eyeshadows by Etude House.
The darkest shade is the #RD302 and the light pink is the #PK005. These are from the Look At My Eyes collection. They are shimmery eye shadows.
The glittery eye shadow in #PK002 is from the Look At My Eyes Jewel collection.

I included some swatches of the eyeshadows.

Please stay tuned for the product reviews! :)
