Hello guys! How are you all? \*^0^*/
I just started my new job and have been quite busy. As promised I will do a haul & review post regarding my latest haul from TesterKorea.com.
I decided to pop in a review as well since I have had the time to test some of the products that I purchased.
Let's start off with the Holika Holika Dessert Time Lip balm in shade #02 pink cupcake. When applied, it shows up as a light pink, almost transparant, color. The balm is very creamy and not sticky. I love to use this when I am outside in the cold and feel going for a more neutral look. It lasts for a good couple of hours. It has a sweet smell and taste to it, like candy! (so be careful not to accidentally eat it!)
Another aspect that I like is that you can easily pop it into your bag, and it would not open by accident in your bag as the lit closes firmly. Also, you get a lot of product for only about 4 dollars.
This balm is absolutely my new obsession!
Next up are eyeshadows. I got one from the Etude House' range Look At My Eyes Jewel in shade #BE105, one from the range Bling Me Prism Look At My Eyes Jewel in shade #BL605, and finally one from the Aritaum Shine Fix Eyes range in shade #03 Coconut Bay.
I really like all of these eyeshadows. All three are very easy to apply, have a nice texture and are very blendable. The most pigmented are the purple one from Etude House and the one from Aritaum. Whereas the Etude House eyeshadows are pressed powder shadows, the Aritaum eyeshadow is a more loose powder, but has awesome shimmer and shows up beautifully.
(Tip: use a primer on your eyelids to make the shadow appear more pigmented, and make it last longer without smudging)
They retail for: Etude House Look At My Eyes Jewel 3,50 US dollars, Etude House Bling Me Prism Look At My Eyes Jewel 3,50 US dollars, and Aritaum Shine Fix Eyes 6 US dollars.
The next item I bought is the Innisfree Mineral Glow Fixer Mist. What it does: it adds moist to the skin with a shiny coating effect. It enhances the persistency of makeup and makes overall complexion look flawless. What I like about this product is that it feels fresh and cool on the skin. It lasts for a long time and I like the flowery smell. Another pro is that it does not contain paraben, minerals, animal ingredient, or talc. Make sure that you spray it around your face after applying makeup and let it dry / absorb into the skin. The packaging is gorgeous *,*
The average price is 10 US dollars (120 ml).
My second new obsession is the Holika Holika Vita Up! Facial Water #Vita Green.
First of all, this smells amazing! It reminds me of a sweet soap mixed with fresh ingredients. This facial mist has proven to do a lot of good to my skin. It hydrates the skin and delivers 12 kinds of vitamins and mineral rich plant extracts, and Japanese Hita-Tenryosui which is one of the world's top 4 mineral waters. The Vita Green promises to energise tired skin, and soothes flushed skin. My overall complexion after using this product for a couple of weeks has improved so much. My skin feels healthier, more flexible, and I have less breakouts. After spraying this onto my face it feels moisturised, energetic and smells so good. Love this one by Holika Holika and will definitely repurchase this!
How to use: spray around face in the early steps of skin care routine. I personally use this in my morning and night time routine.
It retails for about 4 US dollars (100 ml). What a steal!
The next product I bought is the Secret Key Starting First Essence. The reason that I wanted to try this is because it I hear good things about it, as it contains essential ingredients to nourish the skin.
Unfortunately I do not really like this product, which is why I am glad I got this sample sized bottle before purchasing the full sized one. The reason that I do not really like this product is that it has a very strong alcoholic smell. I have not been using it as much as I would want to, because the smell prevents me from trying it out. I have used it on my skin a couple of times and I must admit that it does not do anything bad nor anything good for my skin. Another low point is that the formula is very watery. This is not so bad but you should be careful when pouring this onto your hand before applying it to your face.
However I find it a waste to not use it and therefore I will give this product another shot and I will let you guys know if I changed my mind about it :) Perhaps my sensitive skin has to get used to it first before showing any differences?
The price is about 3 US dollars for this sample size (30 ml).
The last item I picked up is the Innisfree Cream Mellow Lip stick in shade #02 Vanilla Pink. First impression: I love this color! It really suits my skin tone (caucasian / light) as it gives a warm tint to my skin which has a cool undertone (pink).
The texture is very creamy which I like and is very pigmented after only one swatch (see picture below). It has a smoothly application and lasts for about two to three hours. It does not have any particular smell or taste. I also really like the packaging. The broken white is recycled paper printed with soy ink, and feels silky and soft? I did not know that this was possible! :)
Another pro is that the formula contains Camelia oil which provides a smooth coating. One last pro is the diamond shaped stick which is not only gorgeous it also provides great fitting for any lip shape.
I will probably get a few more of these in different colors.
It retails for about 8 US dollars.
